I enjoy speaking on the topics of online community and social media, and how these can be successfully integrated into the organisation. I have held training sessions delivered to small and large groups since 2001 and provide insight gained from real world experience, having built and managed communities across a wide variety of industries.
My professional bio for conferences and other speaking engagements is as follows:
Blaise Grimes-Viort is the Head of Community Management & Engagement for eModeration, a provider of Community Management & Content Moderation services. His responsibilities range from heading up an international team of Community Managers working on client community development and management, consulting on engagement strategies and supporting clients on how to engage successfully with their community’s participants. He holds a BSc in programming and web development, and a MSc specialising in the social structure of digital piracy groups and their effects on society and business.
He started his career in Community Management in 2001 and has worked with global brands, startups and charities, in fields such as Videogaming, Social Networking, Pharmaceutical, Broadcasting, Publishing and ISPs. This varied experience has provide him with a rich background in product development and customer collaboration, and the passion to help organisations build thriving online communities and social media outposts.
